March 2019 News Letter
Dear Pastor and Friends,
We are off to a great new year. We have been busy during our summer months with conferences, vacation Bible school, new discipleship classes, many salvations and baptisms, and we have had visitors from the United States.
School has officially started here in Panama, and our two feeding centers are in full gear. We were given backpacks to give away and also a donation to buy uniforms and shoes to those who are in need.
Please pray for our six-year old, Elisabeth. She was bit by one of our dogs. The bite just missed her eye and we are very thankful for God´s protection. It was quite an ordeal for all of us. We needed to take her to a hospital in Panama City, about six hours from where we live. We took her by plane which is a 45-minute flight. She needed to have a surgery where the surgeon took skin from behind her ear to replace the skin under her eye. We arrived to the hospital around 12:00 noon, praise the Lord, surgery was a success and she was released that same night. The surgeon who did the operation is a Christian and has been in touch with us since. He said that she is healing nicely. We traveled back to Panama City for the doctor to check her out and remove some stitches. We have another appointment scheduled for April.
Since our last letter, we were able to buy a van for the church. We are grateful to God for this answer to pray. On a side note, we need a new motor for an older vehicle we have been using for years to pick up people for church.
This past weekend I had the opportunity to preach a family conference at another church. Praise the Lord for the sweet, welcoming spirit. They were eager to hear and receive God´s Word.
Thank you very much for your faithful prayers and support. We covet your prayers!
Your servants in Christ,
Rafael, Tracy Rodriguez and kids
